Church Family,

I wanted to give you a few instructions as we look forward to worship tomorrow morning.

1. We will be on regular schedule tomorrow morning.

2. If your roads are still icy please stay home and watch online.

3. There will be parking in the Senior Adult lot, limited parking in the Owens Building lot, and limited parking by the LIFE center.

4. There will be a roped off walkway on the Owens Building side to access the sanctuary. You will also be able to use the drop off by the Children’s Building as well as the entrance on the Senior Adult parking lot side of the sanctuary.

5. We will be celebrating Baptist College Ministry day tomorrow. Bro. Darren will be preaching and we will look forward to two baptisms.

While the sun has melted a lot of our ice and snow, there are still some very slick spots around the church and parking lots. Please be careful, and I look forward to seeing you in the morning.

Church Family,

I am excited to share with you our re-entry plan for all programming. I have discussed this with our staff and Chairman of Deacons, and we feel comfortable on moving forward with this schedule.

•  Wednesday, February 3 – Adult Bible Study in Sanctuary at 6:30 p.m.

•  Wednesday, February 10 – Children and Student programming will resume at 6:30 p.m. Choir will begin practice in the Sanctuary after Bible Study.

•  Sunday, March 7 – Sunday School will resume at 8:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. Choir will return to worship at the 8:30 a.m. Service in limited capacity.

This will give us the opportunity to return in stages and monitor any concerns that may arise. With any plans that we have made for re-entry, these are subject to change based on the health and safety of our congregation. I want to encourage you in the midst of what seems to be encouraging news with lower case numbers not to let up in our preventative measures. Let’s continue to wear masks and social distance when at all possible. My prayer is that by the time we launch back into Sunday School we will be on the back side of this pandemic. I am so glad that our children are returning to school and hope that this is a sign of great things to come. God is preparing us for something great and I cannot wait to see what He has in store for Immanuel Baptist church!

Church Family,

We will not be returning to Sunday School or Wednesday night activities until further notice. We will continue to meet on Sunday mornings for worship at our regular times with childcare provided for birth through 4 years old. We need volunteers to help at the 10:00 hour. If you can help, please contact Angelia Jones (615) 390-2356. We will return to the Revelation study online next Wednesday, January 13. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate through this difficult time.

Also, if you have any symptoms or have been exposed to anyone with COVID, please feel free to stay home and watch the service online.

Updates due to COVID Concerns:

On campus Sunday School classes have been suspended until 2021.

Wednesday nights on campus activities have been suspended for the remainder of December.

Masks are required for our 11:15 AM Sunday Morning Worship Service. This will allow us to provide a safe worship environment for those that have a higher health risk.

Phase III: Beginning Sunday, October 18, 2020

Church Family,

I hope you are as excited as I am for our return to Sunday School this Sunday! A lot of work has gone into the preparation for this monumental event in the life of Immanuel Baptist Church. Not only are we returning to Sunday School, but we are returning with more opportunity to reach more people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. There are several things I want to remind you of as we make our final preparations for this Sunday.

1. Times and services

  • We will begin our new schedule this Sunday. There will be three different opportunities for you to worship in the Sanctuary: 8:30 Blended Service, 10:00 Contemporary Service, and 11:15 Traditional Service. I am excited to continue all three services as we attempt to value every generation in our church.

  • You will now have two opportunities for Sunday School. We will offer Sunday School classes at 8:30 and 10:00. This will give you options to choose the worship service that you would like to attend and a Sunday School hour to fit your schedule. Please click here for a listing of Sunday School classes.

2. Parking and entrances

  • You will now be able to park in any lot that you choose and enter and exit through any door that you choose. We have been very careful over the last several months to park and enter through specific doors during our re-entry. You have done a great job with that and we are now ready to open all parking lots and doors on our campus.

3. Covid protocol

  • I want to encourage you to continue to use safety protocol as we re-enter into Sunday School. You will notice in your classes that we have set up the rooms to accommodate physical distancing as much as possible. While wearing a mask is certainly acceptable, it will not be required at any of our services. Please feel comfortable wearing a mask if that is what you feel you need to do.

Let us continue to pray and look forward to this weekend with great anticipation. I have told our staff that I am not looking for a particular number to determine success for this weekend. God will give us victory because we are gathered as His family, we are studying His Word, and we are resting in His love. I look forward to seeing you this weekend! And let’s hope that Marty and Doc are able to land in the right decade this Sunday!
